Time: Opiate withdrawal symptoms will lessen over time. Certain medications taken during discontinuation such as Clonidine or Clonazepam can minimize the unpleasant effects of medication withdrawal. Also, a physician certified in its use can prescribe buprenorphine(suboxone sublingual).
