CBT: An introverted person may simply be someone who prefers a low-stimulus environment. You cannot change another person and they will resent your trying. If a quiet person wants to alter behavior, practice with a role-model, learning new skills (replacing dysfunctional ones learned in a difficult home), or cognitive-behavior therapy if the problem is social phobia.
