A member asked:

Is tendon snapping common after bone breaks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't swallow bones.: Bones are not easily digestible, but the real risk of swallowing fish bones is that they may pierce the esophagus and become stuck. It is the small bones that pose the greatest risk. It is best to remove bones before eating or to be extremely careful. If a bone sticks in your throat go to the er for evaluation.
