Clothing and HIV: Yes. If the blood is fresh, wear gloves and put the shirt in a plastic bag until you can wash it. Normal washing will take care of the virus. Bleach is not necessary. Cold water can help get the stains out. You can wash the shirt by hand, wearing gloves, or in the washing machine, or you can have it dry cleaned.
