Decrease allergy: Allergy shots or allergen immunotherapy are a treatment option for allergy is avoidance and medicines are not helpful. It is not entirely clear how allergy shots works but the essentially lower one's reactivity to an allergen to the point that the patient no longer has allergy symptoms.
