A member asked:

Can you tell regular mouth blisters apart from an std blister in your mouth like herpes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

They are the same: Fever blisters are caused by a herpes virus. There are 2main types that cause us problems, but either type can present as a blistered place anywhere on your body. The most common types are the oral fever blisters. The next are the genital herpetic lesions. Other things however can make blisters so being evaluated by your doctor would help.
