Do doctors use ipads in their practices, in dealing with pts? if so, how many docs use ipads approximately?

Many options: Many of us use tablet devices, whether ipads or windows-based devices, with our patients, both to access our electronic medical records (emr) systems, and to look up, calculate or print out specific relevant information for individual patients. Because most emrs are windows- or unix-based, branded apple devices are less common than products with a microsoft or unix os.

Depends/unknown: Some docs have an EMR and use a variety of devices during visits.IPads, mini-laptops, etc.Others use written records (old school) The numbers vary by part of the country and type of practice. The true number is unknown.
