Clothing allergy: Many persons who itch when wearing clothing suffer from contact allergy. Detergents, fabic softeners or formaldehyde could be the cause. Step one is to change to a fragrance free detergent such as all free clear and avoid dryer sheets. A fragrance-free bath soaps (such as vanicream or cetaphil restoraderm cleanser) should also be used if fragrance allergy is suspected.
