It depends: If you have hepatits b, barrier protection with a condom is recommended as is vaccination of sexual partners. Hepatitis a can be transmitted by causal contact and sex should be avoided until recovery. Hepatitis c is more complicated. It is not considered sexually transmitted but may be in some cases (0.1%). Condoms should be considered.

Yes: First of all it depends on the type of hepatitis. Acuter hepatitis increase transmission risk so sex should be avoided. It really involves an upfront conversation with your partner. Risk of transmission through sex is not high but does exist. Condoms would be appropriate.
