Diet and fluids: A diet with about 20-25 grams of fiber, 80 -100 ounces non alcoholic, non caffeine fluid per day. Add 20 additional oz per 30 minutes of strenous excercise, and 20 oz per hour in an airplane. Also add more fluids when taking cholesterol meds, antihistamines, antidepressants, and narcotics.
