Hemorrhoids : Strangled hemorrhoids are internal hemorrhoids that have dropped so much they are stuck outside the anus and can't be pushed back to inside the anus. Thrombosed hemorrhoids are the result of a rupture of an external hemorrhoid vessel causing bleeding under the skin and a purple bump on the skin on the outside of the anus. Both are painful and treated with surgery.
