Absolutely: Good to have a thorough evaluation of the discomfort first -- you can start with your primary care doctor. But then, massage therapy, gentle heat, and gentle osteopathic manipulation are useful. Guided imagery can help. You need to explore stressful situations in your life, and with help, address them. Responses to stress can fuel muscle tension and make things worse. Acupuncture too, maybe.

Of course: Diagnose any physical injury or cause and treat it appropriately, and ask about stress, emotions, posture, and also treat appropriately.
