A member asked:

Can fever be cause by losing blood at delivery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Fever in labor could be due to an infection (chorioamnionitis) which can lead to an infection of the uterus. A uterine infection can make it more difficult for the uterus to contract properly. Abnormal uterine contractility can lead to heavy bleeding.
