Not an easy question: At one time you would be able to purchase primatene inhalers without a prescription. This drug has been removed from the market. I am not familiar with "natural" products sold in vitamin/health stores but i'm sure there are some marketed for this. Be careful before you try anything and check with your physician. Just because they dont need a prescription does not make them all safe.

None really. : Optimum treatment of your asthma requires that we measure your lung fuction objectively, then develop a treatment plan that you can understand and execute on your own. Many asthma meds can be harmful if used indiscriminately or incorrectly, and your doctor can help you understand how to use them. Hence, they are not available without a prescription. Primatine was basically inhaled adrenalin.
