Varies: The pain depends on what procedures have been performed. Regardless, the discomfort typically rapidly improves over the first few days after surgery.

It varies.: Agreed. Pain is subjective and varies from person to person. Most arthroscopic procedures will be painful for several days to several weeks and may require stronger pain medication. However, traditional anti-inflammatory pain meds, as well, as ice, and crutches will go a long way to keeping the pain manageable.
