It's Not: Cutting down on sugar is probably the single most effective diet/nutrition and, frankly, national health crisis. Most problems with cholesterol on a traditional blood test are due to excess consumption of carbs and sugars. "low fat foods" typically make you fatter because sugars/starches are substituted for fat (to provide flavor).
