Prompt treatment.: Probably the best way to stop UTI pain is prompt treatment with the appropriate antibiotics, like tmp-smx or trimethoprim-sulfamethoxasole. If there is still pain well into the course of antibiotics, then try a simple painkiller, like tylenol (acetaminophen) or aspirin. If this does not help the pain, then you should see your doctor because there might be something more involved going on.
