Many things: Immune conditions include defects in the function of the immune system either acquired or present from birth (agammaglobulinemia, hiv, cancers). Immune system suppression due to drugs or chemicals (prednisone, cyclosprine, etc.), or immune stimulation due to immune system challenge ( autoimmune diseases, allergy).
