Steriod Classes: There are several classes of corticosteroids (class a, b, c, d1, d2) if you are allergic to a class a steroid like Prednisone (oral) you are likely to be safe with a different steroid from the another class. However, there are sometimes cross reaction of allergy between classes. You should discuss with a dermatologist who does allergy testing called "patch testing" to be sure.
