Depends: Risks of mortality from major abdominal surgery generally are very low, but it primarily depends on one's overalll health, medical risks & if there is any history of heart or lung diseases. Continent ileostomy surgery would have more morbidity risks such as infections or pouch complications & the expected mortality very low.
