How long should you be off methotrexate before you start drinking?

Depends on…: Dose & how long you were on it. Mtx's half life (amount of time for active med to be reduced by 1/2) is given as 3-15 hours but varies according the dose. Whether there has been liver damage also depends on length of time the drug has been taken. See your doc about checking your liver enzymes & ask when it would be safe for you to have alcoholic drinks.
