Fertility Medicine: Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (rei) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction as well as the issue of infertility. While most rei specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists also have training in ob-gyn.

REI: A reproductive endocrinologist is a fertility medicine physician specially trained to handle all the hormonal and surgical issues with women trying to conceive. They have done an ob/gyn residency and subsequently have trained in a reproductive endocrine infertility subspecialty fellowship. They also have in vitro fertilization, microsurgical training, along with lase and possibly robotic training.
