A member asked:

Is there a relationship between the length of your colon and colon cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: While there is some variation between one person and the next regarding their total length of colon, this is not correlated with cancer risk. Of course, those people who have undergone (sub)total colectomy are at lower risk of colon cancer than if they didn't have this surgery.
