Watch for infection: It doesn't hurt to apply cold and wet to a burn - it may actually provide some pain relief. I would then recommend applying plain petroleum jelly several times a day to the area. Depending on the extent of the burn, you may consider evaluation by a dermatologist - we worry about the possibility of infection and scarring.
