Depends on extent: Osteosarcoma is found in the lungs as metastatic disease during initial diagnosis or at relapse/ progression of disease. Lung mets that are isolated or limited in number might be able to be removed surgically. Additional chemotherapy would then be needed afterwards in an attempt to prevent further recurrence. However, lung involvement is an ominous finding.
