D/W your oncologist: It will depend on the type of cancer, biology of cancer and the overall condition of the patient. Undifferentated carcinoma is just description of the cancer cells under microscope- compared to the normal cells, and not telling you anything else otherwise. In majority cases- stage 4 eventhough is treatable ( providing overall patient's condition is not bad) , however it is an incurable disease.
