No, but...: Pinguecula are not pretty and can be dry and irritating. They are evidence of too much sun and wind exposure. Wearing sunglasses and using artificial tears will improve the symptoms and prevent them from getting worse.

No: These are benign growths at the inside and outside edge of what appears to be the colored part of the eye (the edge of the cornea). The eyes make them to provide protection against uv light, wind and dust. Unless yours are so prominent that pose a cosmetic issue, you can just leave them alone as they are not harmful.
