They say thiomersal is safe for children in vaccines, so is there anybody out there who has been proven harmed by it?

It is safe: Nobody has ever been shown to have been harmed by thiomersal. Having said that only certain types of the flu vaccine contain any thiomersal. The rest of the vaccines we use are preservative free.
