Usually yes: Typically a spectacle prescription would be first so we could see how the vision improves and have a back up pair of glasses available. Then contact lenses could be tried next. You would always prefer to have a pair of glasses as back up if you wear contacts in case their is a problem that would prevent you from wearing them. Some prescriptions may be better suited to contacts to start.
