A member asked:

Can you cure a microadenoma that causes hyperprolactinemia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometines: There are two medications that can lower prolactin levels, often to normal, in patients with prolactinomas- these are bromocryptine and cabergoline. In some cases if the prolactin has been persistently normal on the medication, it will remain normal after the medication is stopped. This should only be done under the supervision of an experienced endocrinologist.
