A member asked:

Can you have a hot flash for anything other than menopause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sure.: A hot flash could be just a hot flash. Or, it could be from stress or anxiety. Thyroid problems sometimes present with intolerance to hot or cold. Other medical disorders can present with hot flashes. And, a hormone imbalance, even if it is not menopause, could also give you hot flashes. If it is only occasional, it's probably no big deal. If they are frequent, or causing problems, see your dr.
