Is tracheitis contagious if you cough?

Contagious: Most respiratory infections if not all are contagious through spread of respiratory droplets expelled by cough.

Not usually: Although the virus that causes tracheitis can be contagious, and cause upper respiratory infections, it is unlikely to cause tracheitis in other infected people. That is why we don't see epidemics of tracheitis.
