Over the counter med: Symptoms of fibrocystic breast changes include lumpy and tender breasts, swelling, itching and pain. Symptoms often occur in both breasts. Treatments include a supportive bra or sports bra. Dietary changes including decreasing fat and sugar intake. Some have improvement by decreasing caffeine and chocolate intake. Over the counter medications include tylenol, (acetaminophen) ibuprofen, magnesium.
