Pain on Urination: We do see bladder infections in children. More common in young girls than boys. Boys will sometimes have a valve that prevents the bladder from emptying fully. Any irritation to the bladder wall can cause pain on urination. Sometimes it difficult to tell if they are irritated by urinating or if it is something else is going on in the general area. Time to see your doctor.
