A member asked:

How long should i wait to get pregnant after herceptin (trastuzumab)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe 60 days or so : Herceptin (trastuzumab) has been reported to be associated with oligohydramnios (scant amniotic fluid) during pregnancy but there are also reports of normal fetuses born even in women who received Herceptin (trastuzumab) sometime during pregnancy. The half-life of Herceptin (trastuzumab) is about 12 days. After 5 half-lives (60 days) hardly any drug should be left in the body. However, check with your doctor before planning any pregnancy.
