No: Most people will get an ache in there arm and sometimes a subtle fever or fatigue at the time of the shot. This is not a "light" version of the flu, but rather a good sign that the body is beginning to build an immune response against the actual flu. There is no live virus flu in the injectable flu shot and you cannot get the flu from it.
