A member asked:

How is isoflurane gas administered to a patient?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

With air/oxygen or..: This nonflammable liquid/gas anesthetic is often given in mixture with room air/oxygen and/or nitrous oxide. It is often used to maintain anesthesia state once patient is induced with thiopentone or Propofol which are "smoother" and quicker agents to induce unconsciousness. That is how much i know about this agent/use. Have fun learning about it. Good luck.
