With air/oxygen or..: This nonflammable liquid/gas anesthetic is often given in mixture with room air/oxygen and/or nitrous oxide. It is often used to maintain anesthesia state once patient is induced with thiopentone or Propofol which are "smoother" and quicker agents to induce unconsciousness.
