Preparation: For some people it is about abortion but for most it is about preparation. Prenatal care is all about understanding what the patient and her baby need and formulating a plan that meets that delivers a safe birth. If there is a genetic problem, birth defect, heart problem etc the parents and the doctors can prepare.
