Autism can be helped: New applications of new & older meds, optimal developmental & educational interventions & behavioral therapies can make a huge difference. Autism is a wide spectrum of problems/severities so some will get much, much better with optimal help & others may improve their lives only a bit. But more help exists now than ever before & i've seen many autistics (& their families) transform their lives.

Unfortunately : There is no one way alone that would cure autism. It requires a team of professionals (psychologist, behavior analyst, speech therapist, occupational therapist, psychiatrist, special education teacher) to have the best result. Most of the individuals are not fully cured, but they can make observable progress in areas of communication, challenging behaviors, and social skills.
