It depends: Someone with 2 or more losses is classified as having recurrent pregnancy loss. A full evaluation for rpl would be done to determine the underlying cause(s) of the losses. Clexane would be prescribed if/when an appropriate clotting issue is uncovered.

Depends on MC tests: Clexane is enoxaparin, a form of heparin, and is an anticoagulant or 'blood thinner'. It does not cause birth defects - Heparin can't cross the placenta to get into baby's blood, and it is pregnancy category b for safety, with no evidence of harmful effects on the baby in pregnant women. Do you need it & for how long depends on what your miscarriage tests found. Talk to your md. Congrats on preg!

What's : Like all meds, ask the doc prescribing if you don't know what it's for or proper dosing. I'm sorry i'm not familiar with.

Work up needed: Two or more losses would constitute a diagnosis or recurrent pregnancy loss. That warrants a workup. If the evaluation shows a clotting problem, then the clexane may be indicated.
