Not fun: When you get typhoid fever, you get fevers, chills, belly aches, and faint rose salmon colored spots on your belly and chest. This is not a fun souvenir to bring home from your vacation. It *can* be prevented. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

4 Stages: Classically each stage is about a week but typhoid can present with a mix of signs and symptoms. 1st fever which rises each day, fatigue, headache, cough, general abdominal pain, frequently a nose bleed 2nd high fever, rosy spotted rash, confusion, diarrhea alternate with constipation, pain in right upper abdomen 3rd and 4th week: possible bowel bleeding, gallbladder inflammation, dehydration.
