Vitex and others: Probably the best herb to help amenorrhea following the use of birth control pills is vitex agnus castus (chaste tree berry). Other herbs that may help include dong quai, black cohosh, rhodiola and eleutherococcus. Chinese herbal medicine is often effective in treating this problem, but it would be best to see an acupuncturist with expertise in herbs to get an individualized recommendation.
