Eye lubrication: Lacrilube (artificial tears) is a purified petrolatum which is certified for use on the eye. It is use to lubricate the eye, especially in cases of eye dryness more than the average and is used in hospitals to protect the eyes in situations where the eyes might dry out. It is a brand name, and there are a number of equivalent over the counter products with the same effect.
