A member asked:

Is it possible for nearsightedness to become farsightedness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Though uncommon, there are ways for someone to change from near to far-sightedness. The most common way is from natural aging (growth of eye) and from cataract development (change in lens power). Other possibilities include laser vision, trauma, corneal scarring, refractive lens exchange, corneal ectasia, and retinal pathology.
