Many types: There are gas permeable, scleral, soft daily disposable, soft extended wear, hybrid, so even a longer answer just begins to scratch the surface. The risks vary with the type of lens; all increase risk of eye infections, eye irritation and scratched corneas are the most common complications of contact lenses. Be careful not to wear cls if you have a red eye or feel a cold or flu beginning.
