Interventional cards: There are several interventional cardiology procedures which can "cure" afib and may be considered for certain individuals, but medications to treat afib or control the rate are a very reasonable option for most people.

It depends: With the evidence we have currently, catheter ablation is probably the most effective cure for atrial fibrillation (afib). However, that doesn't mean it's appropriate for everyone. Discuss with you electrophysiologist.
