See below: Treatment for latent TB is given if PPD is 5mm positive and if HIV positive, recent contact with TB case, fibrotic changes on cxr or immunosuppressed patients. If PPD is 10mm positive recent immigrants from high incidence countries, IV drug abusers, high risk settings-jails, snf's and children would be treated. If PPD is 15mm positive all persons would be treated.
