a malignancy of the: Tissues lining a cavity (thorax > abdomen) and external linging of the lungs. It is densely adherent to underlying lung, and deeply invested nooks and crannies of the mediastinum. Abdominal mesothelioma is less common. Both associated with asbestos exposure.
