The pancreas is: Both an exocrine organ of digestion, and the bile duct from the liver passes through it, and an endocrine organ producing gastrin, insuln and other peptide hormones. Cancer is uncontrolled growth, and this organ lives near the root of the blood supply to and from liver and guts. Cigarettes associated. No screening test. Increasing. One i pray daily not to get.
