True: Bone mets can be painful but aren't always. Bone mets can lead to sre -- skeletal related events -- such as pain, fractures, or need for radation/surgery. Bone mets can be treated with bisphosphonate (zometa) or Denosumab (xgeva) as well as with radiation therapy or systemic (eg chemo) therapy.

Yes. not always.: Not all bony metastases give you pain- depending on the size and the location. When it gets bigger, pain will manifest and there is significant risk for bone fracture. Therapy for bony metastases wll include- chemotherapy for that particular cancer; palliative radiation to reduce pain/symptoms, some times surgery can be done ( very selected case); and bisphosphonates such as zometa or x-geva.
